Projet G5

This new version of G5 may be the ultimate one! The team did a lot of work : 1000 hours of work, 200 days, one hundred componants in the kit, and 50 email to dirk (tube town)

the improvments from V2 to V3 are :

-different values of tone stack componants for more tuning range 8)
-new power and output transformer : custom and "made in france" 8O
- power supply with LC filtering for lower hum
-power tube range from EL84 and 6V6 to KT88 at 100% bias! (check the pinout and socket if different than EL34) 8O
- new stand-by wiring for a smart switching (capacitor pre-load at 20V)
- onboard security LED, red light when high voltage is present!
- still low cost : 179 Euros at tube-town, germany this include cahssis, transformers, tubes all the hardware exept knobs and tools. you must also add the shipment.

but
- the kit does not include the "chiken head" knobs anymore, you have to add the knobs you like to your ordrer
- nor stand-by light
- not yet "building instructions"

add-ons Kits are coming :
- line out with analog speaker simulator,
- "variable bias system" for an easy and fast bias adjustment when changing tubes,
-tremolo,
-mmm.... let us finish that first...

The 3D layouts are nicely done, they should be a big help - they really show how some things have to be done that weren't shown before. Good job.

We have tested the G5 V3 last sunday, w/ different power tube (EL34, 6L6, KT88, 6V6 and so on) ... this amp is definitely amazing !

But in fact, you must deplace the FX loop, because the FXloop is too close from the standby switch.
So delete the master volume option, and deplace all the potentiometers and the FXloop to the inputs, like thaht you have more than 5-6 cm separate the fxloop and the standby swith and the G5V3 will be humless.
