In class A you can bias at 100% of the plate dissipation
A 6v6 has a plate dissipation of 12W
If you have the plate voltage and the current, you have the power dissipation :
P = U * I

So You must check the plate voltage, because 45mA at 300V or à 100V isn't not the same plate dissipation ;-)
Try to bias at 100% of your plate dissipation,a nd tell me how you feel the sound.

Okay, I knew Mr Ohm :wink: I´ll try it, but i´m a bit scary about tweaking the tube to 100%. In the tubesheets they are talking about 250V and 45mA in class A. So i didn´t know what to do :roll:

250 *0.045 = 11.25W so very near the maximum plate dissipation !
Don't worry to bias your tube at 100% in class A single ended, it's very standard.
Enjoy !

Okay you win ! :mrgreen:

I´m now at 93% "taux de bias" and it sounds great! :good:
Thanks for your help, i think i don´t change anything to this Amp now!
Now I´m going to build a case for it, but first i need a speaker...
