Hello Friends of the good Valvetones.... 8)

I´m not in french language, so i´ll ask here for this...
What are you using for a speaker in your own G5 at the moment...
Celestion,Jensen,Eminence or else !?!
I´ll going to build an Combo for my G5 and I´m not quite sure about the speaker. I´ve tested it with an Celestion Vintage 30 but I´m thinking of an G30 or a Jensen too...

Maybe someone has a clue,

Regards,
Frank

I've got 2 G12H30 and it's a wonderfull speaker, loud with a great tone. Avoid Jensen and prefered weber ressiue which are really better and are now avaible in german store. Even ordering in USA is profitable, i've paid 130Euro including shipping charges for a 10'blue pulp (anlico)
.

Hello,

I have a 2x12 cabinet with Weber speakers, 12A125 and 12A125S. They sound really great and are not very expensives.

I have samples with my G5 and my Weber speakers here:

I've got an eminence legend 121 in an open cab. it has a good efficiency, sounds fendry with much treble (sometimes too much for me) and not much bass for me (maybe a closed back cab whould be better). there is some bass but not very extended in the very low frequency.

I sometime prefer to play guitar with my bass cab for bossa, jazz or higain (sweet trebles and strong palm-mute) : a laaaarge bass reflex cab with 15" eminence gamma 15 speaker.

No the Jensen aren't so shitty, but the weber are well built and not such expensive.
Personnaly, i use a V30 in an open cab and i am very satisfy, maybe a G12H or a G12M will be a good solution too with the G5 in 12".
In 10" the weber or the celestion vintage 10.
In 8" the super 8 celestion or some weber if they have 8".

I've got a cab with two eminence 12"
and another with celestion greenback.

They all work well !
Just two very different colors
for more versatility.

Ich mag gern.

Jensen sind sehr gut auch.
Was musika spielst du und was "straffen drat" ?

I'm using a C12Q and it's fine once it's broken in. I play pretty clean, though, if you are into distortion I couldn't really comment. I would like to try a Weber but in Europe I can only find the Celestion-style Webers which don't really interest me. For my upcoming build (a 5e3) I will be using either an Eminence Legend or one of their Redcoat/Patriot series; don't know yet. I will of course try it out with the G5.

Hello Guys,

So now I don´t know anything at all :D
I´m planning an 12" Combo an it should be more versatile. So I think, I should take a celestion... The V30 is a great speaker and it´s quite cheap
(about 99€, the weber silver bell is about 119€ both ceramic)

bye,
Frank

Right! my legend 121 does a good job for clean tones. it is also good for rock saturated lead guitar, but not for roch rythm or metal.

the Legend modeling 12 has a good reputation too.

Yes I read about it and the prices are very good (cheap! :) )
but I´m not sure and don´t know anybody who uses this speaker
